On the overnite investigation, the team brought the
same equipment and placed cameras in Isabella’s room
and the wedding suite. Nothing was caught on video or
digital camera. Evp’s however, revealed the loud strum
of a guitar in the bridal suite at 12:15 a.m.
The next morning, Henry, Chrytal and Dustin stepped
outside of the suite, leaving the door unlocked and
when they returned, they were locked out of the room.
During their wait outside for employees to arrive,
Dustin reported hearing voices at the hotel when no
one was there.
Evidence: An EVP that cannot be explained as no one
heard the guitar audibly. The door locking out
investigators.
In the late 1840’s, the Sierrra Nevada House in Coloma was constructed. As they Gold Rush kicked into gear, the Sierra Nevada house served as a way staion for the miners and tradesman. Robert Chalmers, a businessman owned and operated the hotel which remained in operation until a fire destroyed it in 1902. It was subsequently rebuilt an housed a silent movie theater and community hall. The building burned again in 1925 and was rebuilt as it stands today.

The building is reportedly haunted by the spirit of Isabella who is still waiting for her long-lost love, a prospector.
A small hotel, the rooms in the building are decorated with period furniture and are themed in connection
with colorful stories from the hotel’s history.
Isabella’s room or commonly known as Isabella’s Garden has, according to the hotel’s owner, been an area where
paranormal activity has occurred. The door has unlocked by itself, the curtains have been tied in a knot, the
heater has mysteriously turned on, and once she moved a nightstand from room 5 to room 1.
Her footsteps can heard on the veranda.
The bridal suite is another reported area of activity. Often the door is found unlocked, she turns on lights,
rearranges furniture, reverses hot and cold water. She also will sometimes call out the names of those
staying in the room.

The prelim took place on a warm afternoon and all meter
readings were consistent with electrical appliances and outlets.
No abnormal temperature readings were reported. Chrystal,
while taking a picture of a mirror, saw a little girl’s legs dangling

interviewed the owner of the hotel, the lights above the table began to flicker as if answering questions.
Dustin’s voices could however, have emanated from hikers in the woods and people walking on the
street. It must be remembered that Coloma is the site of the first gold discovery in California and is a
tourist destination.
Conclusion: You have seen the report However, we can not explain the door locking or the EVP. In
our opinion, the investigation, although inconclusive, did yield some interesting things such as the
footsteps sound in the ballroom. Therefore we are not fully convinced that there is paranormal activity at
the site nor can we prove otherwise. So the mysteries of the Sierra Nevada House will remain just
that-mysteries.
This is the EVP which was taken in the Bridal Suite.
