What are shadow people and how do they differ from ghosts? Shadow people have a rich history within
certain Native American cultures and other groups who embrace this folklore. Individuals who have
experienced Shadow People affirm that these dark entities do not manifest physically such as presenting
clothing from a different time period, rattling chains, or exhibiting animals. They also have not been described
as having defined features such as ghost or poltergeists.
Shadow people reveal themselves through a dark large mass or manifest as a gray dark human form that can
be viewed as the size of a large man to a smaller child. According to folklore shadow people can be seen
usually within the observer’s peripheral view and do not surface within close proximity. The shadow people
have been described as being silent or quiet but they can emit a message of eminent danger or doom and
have been described to be introverted not to fully emerging their presence in many cases. Some witnesses
have recounted that the Shadow People evaporate or dissolve into thin air and move through walls, and also
speculate that these beings may show themselves for several seconds before dissipating.

Who are most venerable to visualize shadow people?
Although there is no concussive scientific research with
pure data that shadow people exists, there seems to be a
strong correlation that these apparitions show themselves
to specific individuals. Possibly the sensitive groups and
cultures that have fostered these beliefs and have past
down the folklore to future generations are more vulnerable.
What kind of emotions to the shadow people emulate
depends on the receiver of their visual or sensory
experience. Some reports exclaim the shadow people can
ooze emotions of fear and dread or they may become a
medium to warn the observer that there may be danger in
their near future. Others report a feeling of apathy or
curiosity during their experience. The silhouette human
shaped dark figures seem to demonstrate different levels of
communication ranging from a monotone shyness, warning
the observer of a serious future event or presenting
messages of pure intimidation and malevolence.
Folklore has not typically described these entities physically
attacking or becoming invasive in manifestation to the
living. They have been described to be very drone
and serious within their communication. As some ghost
ghost and poltergeist can exhibit a broader emotional spectrum to the observer, the shadow people are not
know to be jokers, and light hearted in nature.
Where do shadow people come from? Who knows for sure? Some speculate that they may be from other
worlds, planets or be aliens. Since the Shadow People are not known to really communicate as ghosts, spirits
or guides it may be more difficult to define their origins. People who have these experiences may have
different answers.
It would be fascinating to interview different cultures about Shadow People and to hear their experiences and
stories that have been past down from generations.
The Shadow People may not be living people but they are the only entity that knows for sure who they are!
