The Investigation
The team arrived at about 7 p.m. and set up infrared
cameras in selected areas in the one-room store.
Fred and Julie did an EMF sweep of the outer wall noting any
electrical wiring that could effect readings on the inside walls.
Charlotte and Laura did a sweep with the Trifield meter
inside the building and found nothing out of the ordinary, ie:
measurements were concurrent with electrical appliances
and wall wiring.
The psychic for the evening, Trish, arrived and she and
Charlotte did a walk-through in which Trish sensed the spirit
of a man aged about 43, who didn’t want the team there.
When Charlotte told the alleged spirit that the team meant no
harm, he chose to remain and allow the team to remain.

As investigators gathered for lights out, Dana went into the changing room and said she was touched by something
unseen. Fred then placed a camcorder with infrared in front of the changing room. He and Julie then took their own
EMF measurements of the interior.
Lights were then turned off and the front and back doors were shut and shuttered. Charlotte was sitting on a
motorcycle built by a deceased owner of the company and Fred was standing next to her. Fred mentioned he could
smell leather. Charlotte confirmed this. Trish said it was the man that she had been in contact with earlier.

standing at the monitoring station near the cash register,
noticed a peculiar smell near the monitor. Fred verified
the smell and described it as smelling like a horse. At this
point, Margaret began complaining that she felt very cold.
Trish immediately informed the team that she sensed two
men standing near Margaret who seemed to be grizzled
and not very likeable.
Charlotte immediately asked the men to leave as they
seemed rather aggressive. Margaret said she no longer
felt cold.
Fred returned to the motorcycle to speak with the first
spirit and once again, the leather smell returned and
seemed to move around the room. Investigators
confirmed the smell.

a Native American was present.
The native American was stuck in this century because
he felt guilty for running from a battle in which his tribe
was massacred. When asked if he wanted to cross over
he told Trish that he would only talk with another Native
American. Charlotte offered to provide that and will return
at a future date.

There were no spikes on EMF meters and EVP’s taken at the location were low grade however there does appear
to be a male voice responding to questions. Nothing showed up on video. No evidence on photos was obtained.

The smells which would come and go throughout the investigation were intriguing and seemed to appear at the
requests of the investigators. They were also verified by the investigators. The cold spot which Margaret
commented on was verified by Charlotte, who was standing near her.
No viable scientific proof was obtained however all investigators did have similar experiences and Dana had been
touched. One interesting is that when the team conducted psychic tours in November, both Caren and Nancy
mentioned the spirits of a Native American and a younger man. Therefore more study of the building is needed to
