The house was built in 1853 by Judge Marcus Bennett. He had four daughters and one son
who died at the age of 4 and is buried in the cemetery across the street from the home.
The house was the purchased by Col. Frederick Bee in 1889. In the mid-1900s, the Elks
purchased the house. Current owner Danica Olivo purchased the house at the end of 2002.
Guests at the restaurant have heard noises, seen apparitions, had odd feelings, seen
objects moving, lights that turn on and off by themselves and water turns on in faucets as
well. People who have entered the women’s restroom have reported feeling as if someone
was in there within them and some have reported the apparition of a woman in the mirror.
Employees also feel the spirits of mischievous children.

complete the investigation by 11:30 a.m.,

restroom, the other in the big hall/dining room
and one in the bar area.

and the battery was fine so she continued taking
pictures. Once the control pictures were taken, Charlotte
and Laura went upstairs to begin the investigation.

Video and pictures did not reveal anything. EVP sessions upstairs also did nt reveal anything. The

The EVP obtained in the restroom would suggest that there is some paranormal activity occurring in
the restaurant and for years employees and patrons alike have been convinced that such activity
exists . it is our opinion that the legends at the business do have a ring of truth to them but California
Haunts would like to continue its investigation into the legendary stories of Sequoia.

| During the post on a recent afternoon, David Begley, the manager of the Sequoia said the location of the women's restroom used to be part of the yard and a tree was located there. A man had hung himself from the tree. |
